Founded in Las Vegas, Nevada, in 2005, the S.T.G. brand now operates in California’s Bay Area. The company was founded by Timmy Pierce and his wife of more than 30 years, Valeri Pierce.
The meaning behind the company’s name reflects the personal foundation upon which Pierce built the organization. S.T.G. Management represents his three daughters: Sha’Tera, Timi Jo and Genesis Pierce. Their names remain permanently connected to the company’s identity, purpose and legacy. Timmy P.’s strong family roots reflect his consistency, commitment and integrity as a man and entrepreneur.
These qualities have positioned Mr. Pierce to hold the key to a highly anticipated sports documentary featuring the legendary Hall of Fame college basketball coach known as “Tark the Shark,” who led the UNLV Runnin’ Rebels to the 1990 NCAA national championship.
Tark the Shark compiled a career Division I record of 784-202, a .784 winning percentage that ranks among the best in NCAA history. Pierce recently took to social media to tease a trailer surrounding the documentary’s release.
This documentary represents familiar territory for Mr. Pierce, whose sports background began as a star athlete in Dean Martin’s hometown of Steubenville, Ohio. Steubenville has produced a long list of Division I and professional athletes over the years, including legendary football player Calvin Jones and professional baseball player Mike Gulan.
This lineage opened doors for Pierce and S.T.G. Management. After a stint in the military, Mr. Pierce established a coaching career and served as a mentor at various high school and college programs across the country. Timmy continues to pay the blessings of mentorship forward. He was mentored by Robert “Bobby” DiAngelo, whom Pierce considers a close friend and role model.
Upon arriving on the West Coast, the Midwest native wasted no time establishing himself as a heavy hitter in the competitive California market, where people from around the world migrate to make their dreams come true.
In 2024, Timothy A. Pierce was named one of Fresno County’s Top 100 Influential Black Men Mentors by Mentors Matter founder C.J. Jones – a prestigious honor reflecting Pierce’s dedication to community leadership. Guided by Jones’s ongoing mentorship, Pierce continues to empower the next generation.
S.T.G. Management oversees various aspects of entertainment. Most recently, Pierce and S.T.G. Management signed rapper VA STREETZ, whose 15-track album, The Cannons, drops October 19, 2026. Pierce has strong relationships with Wu-Tang affiliate Killarmy Supreme and New Jersey-based label and marketing company Dominion Hill Records, which distributes its master recordings through Roc Nation Distribution.
